Acq_Mat is a user-friendly, general-purpose, turnkey software product for controlling a large number of VXI input channels (digitizers) and up to eight broadband sources (output channels). Acq_Mat addresses your data acquisition needs when making dynamic measurements in the fields of vibration, acoustics, and electronics. Whether you need continuous, gap-free, simultaneous sampled time records for multiple channels and hundreds of megabytes of data for special processing in MATLAB or the preconfigured measurements described above, Acq_Mat is easy to use and takes full advantage of the VXI hardware's performance. Acq_Mat provides a number of excitation signals for the VXI source module, including burst random, true random, burst or periodic linear and log swept sine chirp functions (with selectable start and stop frequencies, ramp, and duty cycle), and periodic user-defined arbitrary waveforms.
Acq_Mat customers are typically found in the automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing industries, where users need to understand the dynamic response of a structure to improve its reliability or reduce the acoustic noise or vibration levels. Acq_Mat is built on top of MATLAB and makes use of multiple MATLAB GUIs to set up and control the VXI hardware. The data is processed and graphically displayed in real time in a choice of formats and number of traces. Post-measurement graphics allow all aspects of the data to be displayed in a number of different formats.
