Vehicle and Design Optimization
Once the baseline vehicle model has been created, the next step is to use optimization techniques to achieve optimal performance. Vehicle-level and component-level design optimizations can be performed to understand the various tradeoffs that achieve the highest fuel economy while still meeting your performance requirements. MathWorks tools provide the capability to run many different optimization routines and achieve the optimal component sizes, controller parameters, or component life expectancy.
